I love the analogy between tennis and chess, as both require strategic planning and execution. To maximise potential on the court, being proactive is key. Understanding the "what" and "why" behind each move empowers players, rather than being at the mercy of their opponents.
In my career both as a player and a coach, I've learned that focusing on daily improvement is crucial. Making tomorrow better than yesterday, emphasizing goals over immediate results, and patiently working towards desired outcomes are essential. Believing in the process is a must.
